Quality vinyl windows are a perfect solution for energy efficiency and longevity in Arizona’s extreme climate. When properly chosen and installed, a quality vinyl window provides smooth, easy operation, a strong and rigid multi-chambered frame, and requires very little upkeep.

Windows made using other frame materials (e.g. aluminum, fiberglass, Fibrex® composite, or clad wood) are a painted finish and may need occasional maintenance over time. Vinyl windows on the other hand are the same color throughout, adding long lasting beauty and energy efficiency to any home.

Our Desert Mountain windows not only have more inner chambers to reduce the flow of heat and cold through the frame, the chambers inside the window also have the thickest vinyl walls made of the absolutely highest grade of vinyl. The premium vinyl used is formulated specifically to withstand hotter and sunnier climates. They are extremely enhanced to make your home comfortable by regulating temperature transference. Our vinyl windows are designed and built for Western regions.

The triple fin weather strip creates a much better weather-tight seal that blocks more wind, dirt, moisture, and sound.

This line comes standard with our SM5 glass effective 07/07/2026. This is truly the world’s best energy glass for Phoenix, AZ.

The Desert Mountain windows are built with precision-mitered 45-degree corners for a clean and refined appearance. Each frame is welded and cleaned using computer-controlled technology to help ensure accuracy and consistency. After the automated finishing process, the corners are inspected and touched up by a trained craftsman by hand. This final step creates an exceptionally finished appearance and gives the window the attention to detail you would expect from a premium product.

Every window also includes our heavy-duty, upgraded extruded aluminum screens. These thicker, more substantial screens are built for added strength and durability compared to standard screen frames. The screen corners are mitered to complement the window frame creating a cleaner look. A built-in pull rail also makes the screens easier to remove when cleaning or servicing the window.

Desert Mountain Vinyl Window Meeting Rail with Steel Reinforcements for Security

The Desert Mountain window’s meeting rail has heavy aluminum reinforcements inside the vinyl for added strength and rigidity where the window sashes come together. Unlike locks that are fastened only into vinyl, the window’s lock screws are secured directly into the internal aluminum reinforcement. This creates a much stronger attachment point and helps prevent the locks from being broken or pulled away from the window if someone attempts to force it open.

We also use CAM locks for improved security and a tighter weather seal. As the lock is turned, the cam engages the lock keeper and pulls the sash tightly against the window frame rather than simply holding it in place.

The result is a window that feels more solid when locked, is more difficult to force open, and creates a tighter seal against outside air and the elements.

For added security we install a solid 1/4″ stainless steel sash bolt on almost every sliding window we install. This provides an additional locking point beyond the window’s standard lock. The sash bolt is simple to operate, just push the bolt down into a drilled hole in the window track. Once engaged it helps prevent the sliding sash from being forced open from the outside.

On certain smaller windows, such as some bathroom windows, there may not be enough sash height or clearance to install the bolt. In those situations the sash bolt may be omitted.

It’s a small addition that provides an extra layer of protection and peace of mind for your home.

Our Krasiva® Desert Mountain windows come in 3 standard vinyl colors – white, tan, and adobe. A black co-extruded frame is also available. The exterior can be painted in many different colors seen above as long as you select white or tan for the interior.

Our Desert Mountain window has three levels of sound reduction available which can greatly reduce the transmission of noise from the outside of your home to the inside, making your home even quieter.

Our unique dual pane SM5 glass already goes a long way to reduce outdoor sound compared to single pane windows.

If you need a step up in sound resistance, our Sound Package glass cranks up the resistance another notch to help keep the inside of your home peaceful and quiet.

Our Safeguard Impact Glass takes sound reduction up another notch above the Sound Package glass.

Below is a chart showing the sound perception difference between the three types of glass. STC = Sound Transmission Class. (the amount of reduction in sound vibrations an object provides as it travels from one side to the other.) OITC = Outdoor/Indoor.

As an example: if the existing window has an STC rating of .25 (typical single pane) and the STC of the new window is a .35, there is an increased change in STC of +10. From the chart above, this means the Desert Mountain window will reduce the perception of loudness by 100%.

None of window STC ratings will eliminate or be 100% Sound Proof. (SP aids in a reduction from the base line of the current window being replaced).

Safeguard Security Glass

For additional security, you can add the “Safeguard impact” glass. There is an increase in the price, but the security increases dramatically for only a small decrease in efficiency. See our video above on how this glass performs!

Additionally, the lock hardware is securely attached to metal reinforcement hidden inside the vinyl. This is standard for all of our Desert Mountain window’s. If you look closely at the image below you will see how the screws from the latch screw directly through the metal and the vinyl instead of just screwing through the vinyl like the other vinyl window brands.

Designed with security as a top priority, a continuous interlocking rail in conjunction with the window locks prevents any intruder from being able to open the window from the outside. All of our locking hardware has passed strict forced entry tests.
